The Set Free Movement is comprised of teams all around the world, working to build healthy communities with zero tolerance for exploitation. To that end, teams engage in prevention, action, and education to end modern day slavery.

The initial task of our team will be to spend time determining how we can personally make the best impact. We don’t want to copy what everyone else is doing just to make ourselves feel good, but we also don’t need to reinvent the wheel from scratch.
The initial year of our team will be spent with local judges, police, firsthand responders, and others on the front lines of action and prevention— learning what we can from them to determine where we fit in.

Modern day slavery is an issue that everyone yearns to end— regardless of their faith, political views, sexuality, or gender. While members of the team will undoubtedly have their own personal viewpoints on religion, the point of this team is not to spend time on those topics.

You may be surprised to learn that The Walt Disney Company has made a commitment to fighting slavery in their supply chain, which means that they will not use companies that enable slave labor in their merchandise.

Slave labor in the process of coffee production is a huge issue in our world today. Disney uses Starbucks in the parks as well as Joffrey’s across property— both of which are committed to fair trade practices!

We will begin meeting in early February, once a month, on Wednesday evenings— 10 minutes from West Clock (Magic Kingdom Cast Parking) in the home of an MK Cast Member.
Our first meeting on February 11 will include a conversation (and music) with David Zach, the leader of Daylight United and front man of the band Remedy Drive. David has been going undercover for years exposing illegal sale of children in brothels around the world. In November 2025 alone, David and his team were responsible for rescuing 42 people from the slavery brothels.
